Michael Rider

A seasoned business executive with over three decades of global operations leadership experience. Known for his ability to integrate operational strategy with fiscal discipline, Michael has consistently driven organizational transformation, M&A integration, and sustainable growth in private sector companies.
As founder and principal at Major Consulting, Michael spearheads client consulting initiatives,
leading and establishing bespoke operational excellence programs as well as establishing project management best practices in companies as cornerstones to driving profit goals. Under
his leadership, the business has achieved notable revenue growth and continues to differentiate
client operations and client satisfaction.
Previously, Michael held executive roles, including Interim CEO and COO roles at 2 Canadian
consulting firms. Global operations leadership roles in MEA, Canada, Asia Pacific and Australia,
where Michael has been accountable for P&L, health and safety, as well as establishing Project Management offices and centres of excellence. He is well-respected in the Industrial Automation space for successfully delivering complex, high-stakes projects internationally.
Michael holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland and is a Certified Electrical Engineer and Master International Project Manager. He is an advocate for leadership development, mentorship, and workplace equality. When not focused on strategic operations, Michael enjoys golfing, hiking with his family, and keeping fit.
